IslandStats.com
The Ocean View Golf Course played host to the 9th Annual Landro Minors Memorial tournament, a competition that saw some impressive golf played. Emerging victorious after a tight contest was the team of George O’Brien Jr, Ebonie Cox, Tariqah Walikraam, and Damian Palayandi. Their combined score of 13-under par proved just enough to secure the win.

The competition was fierce, with the team of Rajesh Pachai, Scott Roy, Roger Brangman, and Tony Cabral also finishing on 13-under par. However, after calculations, O'Brien Jr's team was awarded first place.

Third place went to the quartet of Eddie Lamb, Billy Joe Pitcher, Mikus Ming, and Sa’Qui Robinson, who carded a commendable 11-under par. The team of Kavon Trott, Earlston Wolffe, Eugene Smith, and Tony Burt finished a further shot behind in fourth place, at 10-under par.

The tournament also recognized the team demonstrating the most sportsmanship, with Kenton Trott and Tricray Astwood, Adrian Jones, and Leron Minors receiving the Most Honest Team award.

The Closest to the Pin competition saw six different players claim prizes on the various holes. Scott Roy took the honours on the 2nd hole, while Tony Cabral won the 7th. Eugene Smith's accurate shot earned him the prize on the 9th. Justin Simmons was closest on the 11th, Billy Joe Pitcher on the 16th, and Kennedy Nannette secured the prize on the 18th. The event proved a fitting tribute to Landro Minors, showcasing both competitive spirit and camaraderie on the golf course.
