SMU shot nearly 70 percent for the first 12 minutes of the second half and forced Associate Head Coach David Patrick and his LSU Basketball team into mistakes, as they rallied for a 74-64 win in the Compete 4 Cause Classic at Comerica Center.
LSU fell to 8-2 on the season, while SMU improved to 9-2.
The game proved to be a game of two halves, as the Tigers were able to build as much as a nine-point first-half advantage and led by six at intermission, 33-27.
