The inaugural Pickleball National Championships transitioned to the highly anticipated Mixed Doubles competition at the WER Joell Tennis Stadium. Despite inclement weather that unfortunately curtailed the evening's play, several dynamic duos emerged as early contenders.
In the Mixed 3.0 - 3.49 Division, the teams of Julie Matthews-Borchard and Ricky Spence, and Leslie Jackson and Joe Logan remain undefeated after two rounds of intense competition. Their impressive teamwork and strategic play have positioned them as favorites in their division.
The Mixed 3.5 - 3.99 Division also witnessed standout performances. Liz Schaefer and Jose Barroso are undefeated in Pool B, demonstrating exceptional court coverage and shot-making abilities. In Pool C, Beckie Bart and Vincent Chaves have established their dominance with a series of impressive victories. Wenda Roberts and Edgar Griffith are also undefeated in their pool, showcasing their strong net play and consistent shot placement.
