Imani Phillips once again showcased her skills at the Veolia Milwaukee Open Pickleball Tournament, held at the Baird Center. Competing in the Mixed Doubles Skill: (5.0) Division alongside Brian Bonilla, the duo concluded the Group Stage with a commendable 3-2 record.
In the Round of 64, Phillips and Bonilla triumphed over Yasmin Musleh and Matthew Schapiro with scores of 11-7 and 11-3. However, their journey was interrupted in the Round of 32, where they were bested by Hailey Munz and Benjamin Gonzalez, falling 11-3 and 11-7.
The pair then entered the Backdraw, where they continued to demonstrate their prowess. In Round 2, Phillips and Bonilla defeated Anna DuBois and Emerson Lehmann 15-7. Their momentum carried them through Round 3, as they overcame Bailey Rezabek and Manik Tandon with a 15-10 victory.
Despite their spirited efforts, Phillips and Bonilla's campaign concluded in Round 4, where they were defeated by Taylor Kyllonen and Lincoln Bellamy with a score of 15-5. Their performance throughout the tournament was a testament to their skill and determination.
