The PHC Foundation recently held its 20th Annual Scholarship Awards Ceremony at Chubb Bermuda.
A total of $30,000.00 was awarded to eight young men and women to assist with their studies at college and university levels. The PHC Foundation has now awarded over $382,000 since it was founded in 2004.
The winners of this year’s scholarships are Majesty Wilson, Kairo Lewis, Chavi Pacheco-Hill, Joshua Joseph, T’Syi Showers, Anaya Curtis, Stefan Simmons, and Angelino Madeiros.
“We are extremely proud of this year’s group of extraordinary young people selected to receive a PHC Foundation Scholarship Award,” said PHC Foundation President Mark Simons. “Congratulations to all of our recipients, we wish them well in their studies this school year.”
The awards presentation at Chubb Bermuda was attended by PHC Foundation donors, family, friends and guests who celebrated the positive accomplishments of the awardees.
The guest speaker at the event was former scholarship recipient, Nazari Woods, Law Pupil at Conyers Dill & Pearman Limited. Woods’stated “I encourage this year’s PHC Scholars to remember their journey and have pride in the things they do. Display humility when faced with challenges. Channel their inner Messi and be humble. Create communities and give back. Thank you to the PHC Foundation once again and congratulations to this year’s PHC Foundation Scholarship recipients. Pride. Humility. Community. We are PHC!”
After graduating from Bermuda Institute in 2018, Woods pursued a law degree at the University of Kent and graduated with an LLB with Quantitative Research in 2022. He then went on to attend the University of Law where he completed the Legal Practice Course and graduated with a Master of Science in Law, Business and Management.
