Lambe Designs Braintree Town Kit

IslandStats.com
A football club's new kit has been designed by the player who fired them to promotion.

Reggie Lambe, who loves fashion and has his own clothing brand, headed the extra-time winner in Braintree Town's National League South promotion final.

Now the 33-year-old has designed the team's home and away kit ahead of their return to the top tier of English non-league football.

Lambe, who has previously designed football kits in Bermuda, said he wanted to create an "elegant" kit that "stands out".

Born in Hamilton, Bermuda, Lambe - the Bermudan national team's most-capped player - started his career at Ipswich Town.

The attacking midfielder joined Braintree at the start of the 2023-24 season. He went on to make 41 appearances and score two goals.

In May 2024, his winner in the 4-3 victory over Worthing took Braintree back to the National League.

Speaking to BBC Essex, he said his mind was "always going" with creative ideas. He said it would be "lovely" to score a goal in his own kit.

Referring to his kit design, Lambe said: "The club's happy with it, and I'm pretty sure the fans will once they get it in their hands."

Manager Angelo Harrop's Braintree will meet fellow Essex side Southend United when they return to the National League for the first time since 2017.

Lambe said he is "not ready" to stop playing, and is looking forward to "pushing on again" in a higher division.
