Anaya Smith IslandStats.com The Pan American Qualifying Squash Championships got underway with Bermuda’s Noah Browne, Anaya Smith, and Taylor Carrick all taking to the courts.
In his First Round match that took 25 minutes to complete, Carrick went down in three straight games 11-6, 11-5, 11-6 to Jose Tomas Gallegos from Chile.
Smith also went down in his First Round match in straight games 11-2, 11-1, 11-3 to Juan Sebastian Salazar Gomez from Mexico in their 17-minute battle.
Browne would take on Dane Schwier from Jamaica in his First Round match at 8:00 am, Browne would advance with an 11-5, 11-7, 11-9 victory in 20 minutes of action.
Browne would return to the court for his Second Round match at 3:30 pm taking on the number 2 seed Miguel Rodriguez from Columbia, Brown would fall 11-6, 11-3, 11-1 in 21 minutes.
