The Bermuda Netball Association’s 50th-year season got underway inside the Bermuda College Gymnasium.
In the 11 & Under Division, the participating teams were NPS Hotsteppers, North Village Lady Rams, Phoenix Sparks, and Storm. These amazing up-and-coming netballers showed why they love this sport, with the youngest player being 7 years of age. They displayed sportsmanship and comradery toward each other throughout the entire day, by cheering and celebrating their achievements while drawing much praise from all spectators.
The 14 & Under Division Tournament saw the Phoenix Embers taking the title as Winners going undefeated.
The Storm defeated the Rangers 4 – 2, in the first match of the Division, the Phoenix Embers would then defeat the North Village Lady Rams 4 – 2.
The North Village Lady Rams would rebound to defeat Rangers 3 – 1 before the Phoenix Embers defeated the Storm 4 – 1.
The Phoenix Embers then defeated Rangers 6 – 3 to claim the title, while the North Village Lady Rams went down to the Storm 7 – 2.
In the 17 & Under Division only three matches were completed, Dandy Stars edged the North Village Lady Rams White 5 – 4, Phoenix Fire then defeated the North Village Lady Rams White 6 – 3, and the Storm defeated the North Village Lady Rams Red 8 – 1.
