The Bermuda National Rugby Team departed for Paraguay to take part in their next Round of the Rugby World Cup Qualifiers.
Bermuda advanced to this round after defeating Guyana at the Nationals Sports Center on June 24th. That day Bermuda were crowned the Caribbean Champions with the 18-0 win, Bermuda defeated Guyana in a very physical match in winning the Caribbean title.
This time around Bermuda go into this game knowing very little about their opponents, however the coach Lawrence Bird feels that the team is ready for the challenge.
Bird said, “I think the boys are up to the challenge, we played a very tough team last week in Atlanta and got just what we needed to prepare for this upcoming game.”
