The Bermuda Ball Hockey Winter League playoffs got underway at the PCC Hockey Rink with a double-header that produced 15 goals.
Hamilton Princess 0 CG 10
In the opener CG defeated the Hamilton Princess 10 – 0, to take a 1 – 0 series lead.
Andrew Leavy led CG to victory with 4 goals, while Nathan Kowalski added 2 goals. CG also got single strikes from Andrew Boner, Chris Cairns, Akhil Kapur, and Anthony Kapsimalis.
Frontier 4 ACT 1
In the nightcap, Frontier took a 1 – 0 series lead with a 4 – 1 win over ACT.
Sean McNulty gave ACT the lead in the First Period, only for John King to equalize for Frontier.
Bill Calko gave Frontier a 2 – 1 lead with the only goal in the Second Period.
Frontier would then get two goals in the Third Period from Michael Travis, and Bill McClure to earn the 4 – 1 win.
