The Muskegon Lumberjacks defeated the Red Army 7 – 5 in this see-saw battle that saw them score 4 goals in the Third Period to secure the win.
Craig Macneil scored twice in the First Period for the Muskegon Lumberjacks, while Christopher Merritt scored a goal for the Red Army as the Muskegon Lumberjacks held a 2 – 1 lead after one.
The Red Army would out score the Muskegon Lumberjacks 3 – 1 in the Second Period to take a 4 – 3 lead. Merritt, would add his second, Christopher Jackson and Hart Freedman added the others, while Brandon Willett scored the lone gal in the period for the Muskegon Lumberjacks.
In the Final Period the Muskegon Lumberjacks got 2 goals from Willett to complete his hat-trick, while Alex Ostrov also added 2 goals, while Jackson scored his second goal for the Red Army.

In the nightcap the Allen Americans defeated the Manitoba Moose 3 – 1.
