Chrysda Smith and her OUA defending champion York University Field Hockey teammates ended the regular season with a drawn match against the Waterloo Warriors 1 - 1.
The game remained goalless in the first and second quarter thanks to the fantastic defense preventing Waterloo from getting any shots on net, resulting in a 0-0 draw in the first half. Fortunately for York, the Waterloo defense started to falter, and York scored first in the 4th minute of the third from midfielder Michelle Lee, giving them a 1-0 lead over Waterloo. Just when York thought they added a game to their win-streak, Waterloo came back in the final minutes of the game from forward, Taylor Goodhue ending the game with a tie of 1 - 1.
