Tyler Smith competed in the British Under 20’s Triathlon Festival at Mallory Park in Leicestershire, England.
Smith finished 5th out of 57 in the Junior Elite Male race with a time of 59:26.
Smith recorded a Swim time of 9:36 which covered a distance of 0.75km, the 20.5km Bike course saw Smith clock a time of 32:28 and then he clocked a Run time of 16:09 over the 5km Course.
Smith said, “I felt great today. I was first out of the water and led on the bike several times in the lead pack of 8 riders who stuck together for the entire bike.”
The race was won by Ben Dijkstra who earned his spot to the World Junior Championships with this result with a time of 57:59 after his blistering 14:43 run separated him from the rest of the leading athletes.
