Seven triathletes represented Bermuda at the International Triathlon Union’s Long Course World Championships in Penticton, British Columbia, Canada
Matthew Thompson finished 112th overall and 15th in the Men’s 40-44 Age Group, Thompson clocked a time of 6:53:08. Thompson recorded a time of 49:54 on the Swim, he then clocked 3:30:21 during the Bike Course and then 2:28:20 on the Run Course.
Chris Eaton in the same category finished 277th overall and 42nd in the Age Group, he was clocked in a time of 7:33:28.
With a time of 7:19:02 Geoff Smith competing in the Men’s 35-39 Age Group finishing 219th overall and 28th in the Age Group, Joel Matthews competed in the same Age Group finishing 428th overall and 52nd in the Age Group stopped the clock in 8:07:34.
Louise Wells finished 399th overall and 24th competing in the Women’s 40-44 Age Group clocking a time of 8:02:59, while Jennifer Wilson clocked a time of 8:32:56 finishing 525th overall and 34th in the same Age Group.
Sue Edney competed in the Women’s 55-59 Age Group finishing 23rd in the Age Group and 543rd overall, she was clocked across the line in a time of 8:39:52.
