Tournament officials announced the final field for the 2022 Butterfield Bermuda Championship at Port Royal Golf Course next week. The event boasts one of the stronger fields in its history, bolstered by a $6.5 million purse and awarding of full FedEx Cup Points for the first time.
A mix of veterans such as European Ryder Cup Captain Luke Donald, 2009 U.S. Open Champion Lucas Glover, and 2001 PGA Championship and 2005 Open winner John Daly will compete with young guns, including four of the top six from last seasonís Korn Ferry Tour Points List in Stephan Jaeger, Chad Ramey, Taylor Pendrith and Greyson Sigg.
Pendrith, looking for his first win on the PGA TOUR, set the tournament and course record during the second round last year when he fired a -10, 61.
2021 champion Brian Gay will try to become the first two-time winner at Port Royal but will face stiff competition from local Bermudians, including Michael Sims, Jarryd Dillas, Nick Jones, and Kim Swan.
Willie Mack III, who claimed victory in the Butterfield Bermuda APGA Championship two weeks ago, will look to continue his hot streak at Port Royal.

Limited General Admission tickets remain for Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Purchase now before tickets sell out. Tickets are available through the tournament website for $35. Digicel Business Ocean Club tickets retail at $250 and can also be purchased online. The public is encouraged to act quickly.
The Butterfield Bermuda Championship will implement the PGA TOURís Junior Initiative this year. Youth 15 and under are admitted free to the tournament with a ticketed adult. This does not apply to hospitality spaces, and all spectators over the age of 2 entering hospitality venues must hold a pre-purchased ticket.
