The Bermuda Match Play Championships are due to get underway at Port Royal Golf Course from Friday, November 13th – Sunday, November 15th. The Stroke Play Qualifier will be played on Friday morning to enable players to qualify for one of the Match Play spots in their respective divisions and to seed the players for their upcoming matches.
In the Men’s Championship Division, the current champion, Jarryd Dillas will be defending his title and he is joined by a very competitive field, with half the field at scratch handicap or lower. They will be competing for one of the 16 places.
As the defending champion in the Men’s Championship Division, Dillas will automatically take the #1 seed position in the Match Play and has elected not to play in the Stroke Play Qualifying round
In the Ladies and Senior Men’s Championship Divisions, the defending champions Kathy Lloyd-Hines and Terry Mullan were unfortunately not able to make the tournament, but the 8-player divisions have some high-quality players and it promises to be a closely contested competition.
