Elizabeth Parsons’ teammate sophomore Heather McLean, a Second-Team All-Northeast Conference (NEC) performer last season, picked up where she left off in the spring by firing rounds of 79 and 76 to finish in a tie for third individually and leading the Wagner Women's Golf team to a third-place finish in the season-opening 10-team Fairleigh Dickinson University (FDU) Invitational.
Parsons started the day in 50th place would finish T38th after a Second Round 11-over par 83, to finish with a two Round total of +38 – 182.
The two-day, 36-hole event, held at the Crystal Springs Golf Club (Par 72, 6,395 yards), was won by the host FDU Knights with a four-person team score of 607, followed by Lehigh in second place (630), with Wagner College scoring 664 claiming third.
