The Bermuda National Athletic Association hosted another Track Meet at the National Sports Center, as athletes continue to try and meet the Qualifying Standards for the Carifta Games.
It was a day of near misses for most, Lynsey Palmer can be considered for the team after she ran the Under 18 Girls 3000 Meter Run clocking a time of 11:16.72, according to the Standards for this particular race there are no times to meet posted.
Meanwhile all three High Jumpers once again met the Standard, although they had some challenging conditions of jumping into a strong headwind.
Sakari Famous leaped 1.65m on her way to winning the Under 18 Girls High Jump, while Elisha Darrell won the Under 20 Boy’s event leaping 2.00m and Kevin Miller was second with a leap of 1.95m.
Aaron Jacobs came within 7 tenths of a second of Qualifying during the Under 18 Boy’s 800m, the qualifying time is 2:03.00, he was clocked at 2:03.07.
