Associate Head Coach David Patrick and the LSU Tigers suffered their third consecutive SEC defeat, falling 77-65 to Ole Miss at the Sandy and John Black Pavilion.
This loss marks the Tigers' second straight road defeat in conference play, dropping their overall record to 11-5 and 0-3 in the SEC. Meanwhile, Ole Miss continues their strong start to the season, improving to 14-2 overall and a perfect 3-0 in conference play.
Turnovers proved to be a major Achilles' heel for the Tigers once again. The Rebels capitalized on LSU's 17 turnovers, converting them into 23 points. In contrast, the Tigers managed only 11 points off Ole Miss's 13 turnovers.
This inability to protect the ball and capitalize on opponent errors proved costly for LSU. Despite their offensive efforts, the Tigers struggled to overcome the deficit created by their turnovers.
Coach Patrick and the Tigers will be looking to address these issues and regroup quickly as they aim to get their SEC campaign back on track. With a challenging schedule ahead, they will need to find solutions to their turnover woes and improve their consistency if they hope to compete for a top spot in the conference.
