The Big 12 Conference announced the 2021-22 Men's Basketball schedule, completing David Patrick Oklahoma's Head Men's Basketball Associate Head Coach teams slate for the upcoming season. Oklahoma open league play Saturday, January 1st against Kansas State at Lloyd Noble Center.
OU's conference slate is highlighted by three additional Saturday home games against Iowa State (Jan. 8), defending national champion Baylor (Jan. 22) and Oklahoma State (Feb. 26). The Sooners' remaining home schedule features weeknight games against Kansas (Monday, Jan. 17), Texas Tech (Wednesday, Feb. 9), TCU (Monday, Jan. 31) and Texas (Tuesday, Feb. 15).
The Sooners start their slate of eight road games at Baylor on Tuesday, Jan. 4, and travel to Texas (Tuesday, Jan. 11), TCU (Saturday, Jan. 15) and West Virginia (Wednesday, Jan. 26) to round out the games in January. OU plays its first of two Bedlam matchups at Oklahoma State on Saturday, Feb. 5 before making trips to Kansas (Saturday, Feb. 12), Iowa State (Saturday, Feb. 19) and Texas Tech (Tuesday, Feb. 22).
The double round-robin format concludes Saturday, March 5 when the Sooners travel to Manhattan, Kan., to face Kansas State.
The 2022 Phillips 66 Big 12 Men's Basketball Championship will be held March 9-12 in Kansas City, Mo., at the T-Mobile Center.
The Sooners' non-conference slate, which was announced in July, features home matchups against Florida and Butler, a Big 12/SEC Challenge game at Auburn, a contest versus Arkansas in Tulsa and the Myrtle Beach Invitational.
OU opens the season Nov. 1 at home versus Rogers State in its lone exhibition game of the 2021-22 schedule, while the Sooners' game against Northwestern State Nov. 9 marks the first regular season game of the Porter Moser era.
