Amali Smith and her University of Wilberforce Women’s Basketball teammates defeated Lourdes 63 – 52.
Wilberforce would lead 16 – 11 after the first quarter, before taking a 33 – 19 lead into the locker room at the interval after scoring 17 points in the second quarter and restricting Lourdes to 8 points.
Lourdes would come out firing in the third quarter and outscored Wilberforce 22 – 14 to make the score 47 – 41 going into the final quarter.
Smith and Wilberforce would then outscore Lourdes 16 – 11 in the final quarter for the win.
Smith would come off the bench and play 1 minute grabbing a Rebound.
