On Friday, May 3rd, 2019 the Bermuda Pacers Track Club will host the 12th Annual Schools’ Relay Classic at the National Sports Center starting at 5:30pm.
This event is sponsored by AIG 100 and this is the third straight year they have sponsored the event.
The school will not only compete for bragging rights, but for $4,000.00 to go towards their athletic program. A total of 25 schools from all levels have registered for the event.
The event starts at 5:30pm with the Primary School teams competing in the 4 x 100 meter Semi-Finals. There will be four races in this event. At 6:30pm the schools will again do battle in the 4 x 400 meter Relays. These events are timed finals and are scheduled to start at 6:40pm.
The highlight of the evening will be the 4 x 100 Finals. These events are scheduled to start at 8:00pm. Many of the islands Carifta athletes will be competing for their school.
In addition to these athletes, spectators will have an opportunity to witness the Special Olympic athletes compete in the same event.
During this event you will witness the top 8 schools at the Primary, Middle and Senior School compete. Some 300 students across the public and private schools will be involved.
