A day after bringing you results of the Bermuda School Sports Federation Middle School Cross Country Championships, today it was the turn of the Senior Schools at the Arboretum.
Zoe Hasselkuss from Somersfield Academy won the Under 16 Girls Division in a time of 13.42, Meron Simons from Bermuda High School finished second in 14.00 and Liana Medeiros from Mount Saint Agnes rounded out the top three in a time of 14.11
The Berkeley Institute’s Kahzi Sealey won the much anticipated Under 16 Boys race after he stopped the clock at 11.17, he was followed by the Saltus trio of Tommy Marshall in 11.32, Nirobi Smith-Mills in 12:04 and Sancho Smith in 12.54.
Ashley Irby from Saltus Grammar School continues to dominate this event having never lost a BSSF Cross Country Championship. Irby easily won the Over 16 Girls race in a time of 13.11, Kayla Raymond from Mount Saint Agnes finished second in 13.59 and Warwick Academy’s Skylar Powell came across the line third in a time of 14.45.
Berkeley Institute’s Ryan Outerbridge topped the podium in the Over 16 Boys Division. Outerbridge started to pull away with Rayquan Woodley Smith from CedarBridge Academy after the first lap. The two remained within eyesight until the last lap when Outerbridge pulled away to win by 27 seconds with a time of 15.59. Woodley Smith finished in 16.26 and Nicholas Pilgrim from Warwick Academy finished third in 16.55.
