Bermuda’s Paralympian Jessica Lewis is recovering from an injury she sustained during training.
Unfortunately the people on the track before Lewis and her training partners moved the metal rods on the inside of the track and left it sticking out in lane 1.
As Lewis was warming up in a draft formation they came around the corner and one of Lewis’ training partners Austin who was in front was able to swerve but Lewis didn’t have time so she hit it and went over on her side and twisted into the next lane.
Luckily everyone else was able to stop so nobody else was hurt or went over.
Lewis said, “I scraped up my elbow and bruised my ribs, I am feeling very sore but am being well looked after by the medical staff, the Pink Panther also has a few scratches too but is fine.”
Lewis concluded, “I Almost made it 8 years without crashing.”
