Bermuda Security Group (BSG) & ABC Football Foundation mark launch of Power of One with Andrew and David Bascome joining forces at Victor Scott School
The Football Matters programme led in-school by Physical Education teacher, Nuri Lathan alongside ABC certified coaches, Aaron Lugo, Dashun Cooper, Selina Bascome and Andrew Bascome, Founder of ABC Football Foundation partnered with David Bascome, Creator of the Power of One Programme and funded by lead sponsor Bermuda Security Group created a fully comprehensive football and character development programme at the Victor Scott School.
The BSG - ABC Football at Victor Scott programme incorporates Andrew Bascome's grassroots coaching philosophy that is child-centered and geared character development, discipline and active learning.
The BSG's sponsorship contributed to equipment, facility, coaching and the integration of the Power of One classroom component.
Herman Tucker, a former student of the Central School (which became Victor Scott), made a public call for Central School alumni to come together to enhance the school's physical infrastructure and security.
A number of anonymous donors, former students, heeded the call and the school field has been resurfaced and upgraded, and now accommodates BFA sanctioned community football on weekends.
