Nicholas Pilgrim and Lynsey Palmer took on the USA’s best Youth and Junior Triathletes going to the start line for the 2017 USTA National Championships.
Both Palmer and Pilgrim earned their places on the start line with excellent performances in USTA Junior and Youth Series races in 2017 which gave them solidarity spots for this weekend’s races.
Pilgrim competed in the Boy’s 13-15 Youth Elite, with Palmer competing in the Girls 16-19 Junior Elite field.
Palmer finished 50th out of 69 competitors clocking an overall time of 1:12.25. Palmer covered the Swim course in a time of 13.10.58, she was then clocked at 35:51.82 on the Bike Course, before closing out with a time of 20:45.61 on the Run Course.
Pilgrim finished 27th out of 74 competitors clocking an overall time of 33:18.3, Pilgrim covered the Swim in a time of 5:50.58, before clocking 15:26.51 on the Bike Course, Pilgrim would close out with a time of 9:40.92 on the Run Course.
