Swan’s Running Club announced that they will be launching a new road running series, the Legends Race Series.
The Legacy Race Series coordinator Marla Smith made the announcement stating, “The Series will consist of four races that celebrate some of Bermuda’s road racing heroes such as the Ed Sherlock , Raymond Swan, Ludwig Cann, and Stanley Burgess.”
Jarita Bassett the BGA Marketing Manager said, “BGA is excited to partner with Swans Running Club to honor Bermuda Legends, participant can expect a wide range of products from BGA that will assist them with health living.”
There will be a point system given to placement in each race. The male and female participant who has accrued the highest points in the best 3 out of four races, will be crowned Legends champion. There will also be prizes for overall winner in each age category.
Participant within the series must participate in three (3) of the four (4)races.
The point system for the Legends Series is as follows:
1st place = 25 points 2nd place = 18 points 3rd place = 15 points 4th place = 12 points 5th place = 10 points 6th place = 8 points 7th place = 6 points 8th place = 4 points 9th place = 2 points Remaining participants = 1 point
*Double points will be awarded to all participants in the 4th and final race.
