Bermudian cyclist Cameron Morris registered a solid 23rd-place finish on the opening stage of the 2026 Sherpa Performance Stage Race.
Tackling a fast-paced out-and-back route starting and finishing in Colchester, Morris navigated the peloton to cross the finish line in a time of one hour, four minutes and 54 seconds.
Stage honours went to Frank Longstaff, who produced a commanding ride to break the tape in 1:03:33.
Morris finished just one minute and 21 seconds adrift of the stage winner, keeping himself firmly in the mix as the multi-day competition gets under way.
