McDaniel College freshman Dylan Muso has been named to the PING All-Region III Team by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA), capping a historic first year in the collegiate ranks.
The announcement, made during the 2026 NCAA Division III Men’s Golf Championship, sees Muso join an elite group of 112 players honored nationally. In a testament to the strength of local competition, the Centennial Conference dominated the Region III selections, accounting for 12 of the 15 players recognized.
Muso’s inclusion follows a season where the first-year standout consistently challenged program records and veteran fields alike.
The numbers behind Muso’s debut campaign tell the story of a player quickly adapting to the demands of Division III golf. He posted a scoring average of 73.61, the second-best on the McDaniel roster this year and remarkably the fifth-best in the history of the Green Terror program.
Over the course of 10 events and 23 competitive rounds, Muso demonstrated a seasoned ability to manage the course:
Par or Better: 6 rounds recorded at even par or lower. Top 10 Finishes: 4 appearances in the tournament top ten. Career Low: A blistering 68 in the opening round of the 53rd Camp Lejeune Intercollegiate.
Muso saved some of his best golf for the post-season. In his first-ever conference championship appearance, he navigated the pressure of a 54-hole format to finish 10th overall. His total of a 1-over par 217 set a new career-best for a three-round tournament, proving his mettle as a foundational piece for McDaniel’s future championship aspirations.
The GCAA honors serve as a significant milestone for Muso, who joins a prestigious list of Green Terror athletes to receive regional recognition. With three years of eligibility remaining, the Centennial Conference has been put on notice by one of its most clinical young starters.
