Teachers & Police Secure Vital Wins in High-Scoring Day

IslandStats.com
The Bermuda Rugby Football Union league season continued with a series of dominant performances at the National Sports Center, as the island's top clubs delivered high-scoring encounters across both divisions.

Ladies Division: Teachers and Renegades Dominate

The Teachers delivered a masterclass in attacking rugby, overwhelming the Police with a clinical 68–0 victory. Somaia Saltus spearheaded the assault with a hat-trick of tries, supported by braces from Christina Halliday, Heidi Grooves, and Lysmeire Santana. Santana was also lethal from the kicking tee, slotting nine conversions to cap off a dominant individual performance. Bella Greene added to the tally with a single try as the Teachers maintained their pursuit of the league title.

In the afternoon's second ladies' fixture, the Renegades proved too powerful for the Bermudianas, securing a 42–5 win. The Renegades' attack was balanced, with Leanna Aggarwal and Nakato Luzuka each crossing for two tries, while Ashley Godek, Cat Morris, Jessica Cassidy, and Stephanie Madeiros all found the try line. Laura Mulligan added a conversion to complete the scoring. The Bermudianas fought bravely throughout, with Zaria Codrington securing a lone try for the youth-based squad.

Men's Division: Police outlast Teachers

The Men's Division provided a tightly contested affair as the Police edged out the Teachers 22–14. Jamie Baum was the standout for the victors, scoring two tries to lead the Police attack. He was supported by scores from Lucas Nyamoto and Jason Hendrie, while Adam Martin added a crucial conversion.

The Teachers remained in contention throughout the match, led by tries from Camren Caines and Dzuri Gill. Jakee Simons kept his side within striking distance with two successful conversions, but the Police defense held firm in the closing stages to secure the victory and solidify their position in the league standings.
