The race for the Bermuda Premier & First Division titles have been thrown into a state of total unpredictability following a day of shock results and high-scoring drama.
FIRST DIVISION
Robin Hood 10 Vasco 2
Robin Hood sent a terrifying message to the rest of the league with a ruthless 10-2 demolition of Vasco at the PHC Stadium.
The league's leading marksman, Keishen Bean, was in unstoppable form, netting four times across the ninety minutes. Sebastian Davis and Xahiv Deroza both recorded braces, while Cory Booth and Kimani Davis also added to the tally.
Vasco’s goals from Milton Carreiro and Logan Viera proved to be mere consolations in a dominant display that kept Robin Hood firmly in the promotion hunt.
Somerset Eagles 2 St. David's 0
Somerset Eagles kept pace with the frontrunners by securing a 2-0 win over St. David’s.
After being frustrated in the first half, the Eagles eventually broke through in the 67th minute via Rushaine Murphy, before Zico Saltus-Seymour made the points safe five minutes later.
PREMIER DIVISION
Dandy Town Hornets 1 Devonshire Colts 4
The biggest headline came from White Hill Field, where the third-placed Devonshire Colts produced a sensational performance to dismantle the league leaders, Dandy Town Hornets, 4-1.
The Colts signaled their intent early on when Senoj Mitchell broke the deadlock in the 20th minute. The advantage was doubled just four minutes later as Jahzardae Samuels powered home a header. While David Jones managed to pull a goal back for the Hornets on the stroke of half-time, the second half belonged entirely to the visitors.
Samuels restored the two-goal cushion with his second strike in the 50th minute, before Elisha Darrell rounded off a famous victory in the 64th minute. The result sees the Colts leapfrog the Hornets in a tightly contested top three.
Boulevard Blazers 3 St. George's Colts 3
At the Devonshire Recreation Club, tenth placed Boulevard Blazers hosted eighth place St. George’s Colts. In a see-saw battle that saw St. George’s Colts down 2 - 0, they would claw their way back to take a 3 - 2 lead but the Boulevard Blazers would eventually score again to draw the game 3 - 3.
The ten-man Blazers initially raced into a two-goal lead through a Doreiko Walker double, only for St. George's to roar back with goals from Blaiz Hall, Leroy Lewis, and Mitchell Tucker to lead 3-2. However, Teiko Lowe became the hero for the Blazers, scoring an equalizer two minutes into injury time to rescue a point.
Paget Lions 1 Young Men Social Club 2
At the other end of the table, Young Men Social Club ignited their survival hopes with a dramatic 2-1 victory over the Paget Lions.
Following a scoreless opening period, Clay Darrell fired Social Club ahead in the 70th minute. Daniel Cook looked to have snatched a point for the Lions with a 78th-minute equalizer, but the game had one final twist.
Four minutes into stoppage time, Zieko Lewis struck a sensational winner to hand the visitors a vital lifeline.
PHC Zebras 2 X-Road's 1
The PHC Zebras were the primary beneficiaries of the Hornets' slip-up, moving into first place following a hard-fought 2-1 win over X-Road’s.
Enrique Russell gave the hosts the lead after 21 minutes, pouncing on a rebound within the six-yard box. The Zebras doubled their lead shortly before the interval when an unfortunate defensive rebound resulted in an own goal.
Despite a 50th-minute response from X-Road's danger man Donavan Thompson, PHC held firm to secure the three points and the league lead.
