Dandy Town Hornets showed no signs of a festive hangover as the league leaders cruised to a dominant 4-0 victory over Young Men's Social Club at White Hill Field.
Fresh from their New Year’s Day triumph in the Friendship Trophy, the Hornets continued their clinical form to move four points clear at the top of the Premier Division standings. The league leaders asserted their authority early in the contest, though they found a resilient Social Club side difficult to break down during the opening exchanges. The deadlock was finally broken in the 21st minute through a moment of dead-ball brilliance. Jahkari Furbert, standing over a free-kick just outside the area, curled a precise effort beyond the reach of the goalkeeper to give the home side a deserved lead.
