Somerset Trojans extended their lead at the summit of the First Division standings after a second-half goal frenzy secured a decisive 4-0 victory over St. David’s at the Somerset Cricket Club.
The match remained a tense, scoreless affair through the opening 45 minutes, with St. David’s successfully frustrating the league leaders.
However, the deadlock was finally broken in the second half. The Somerset Trojans took the lead in the 64th minute through Keyni Mills. Once the first goal went in, the floodgates opened quickly.
Kameron McNeil quickly doubled the Somerset Trojans' advantage. Then, in the 78th minute, Kymani McNeil extended the lead to 3-0, effectively sealing the three points for the hosts.
Mills rounded off the commanding performance just two minutes later, netting his second goal of the game in the 80th minute to make the final score an emphatic 4-0. The win confirms Somerset Trojans' strong position as they look to pull further ahead in the division race.
