Andrew Armstrong was among five different goalscorers as his University of Dayton Men's Soccer teammates celebrated Senior Night with a dominant 5-0 victory over visiting Baldwin Wallace at Baujan Field.
The comprehensive win extended Dayton’simpressive home unbeaten streak to five games and improved their season record to 4-2-6.
Dayton set a rapid pace, scoring three goals in the opening 23 minutes.
Martin Bakken opened the scoring in the fifth minute with his fourth goal of the season. Ethan Sassine doubled the lead in the 22nd minute with his team-best sixth goal. Just one minute later, Maxim Scordo netted his first goal of the season to make it 3-0 at the break.
Bermudian Andrew Armstrong continued the scoring in the second half. In the 65th minute, Armstrong expertly steered a cross from Cooper Lijewski into the net, scoring his second goal of the season to make the score 4-0.
Kristjan Frostason closed out the scoring in the 81st minute with his first goal of the season, cementing the 5-0 victory.
Prior to the match, seniors Ethan Sassine, Sidike Jabateh, Gabriel Kringen, and Gavin Krenecki were all honoured for their contributions to the programme.
