Daniel Phillips is poised to make his debut for the Tulane University men's tennis team as they kicks off its comprehensive fall schedule this weekend.
The Bermudian is expected to be in action on September 12th at the Blue Gray Invite in Birmingham, Alabama. The tournament is the first of several competitive events on Tulane's calendar, which is designed to test the squad against top talent from around the country.
The fall season will see Tulane's players participate in a dynamic lineup of tournaments. The schedule includes a mix of regional and national events, culminating with the prestigious NCAA Singles and Doubles Championships in Orlando in November.
Phillips, a former Davis Cup star, will be a key part of the Green Wave's campaign as they look to build momentum heading into the spring dual-match season. His collegiate career began at Arizona State University, but he has since made the switch to Tulane to continue his development.
