Wells Takes Familiar Number as Luton Town Unveil New Kit

IslandStats.com
Luton Town have confirmed their squad numbers for the 2025/26 season, with new signing Nahki Wells set to wear a number familiar to fans of his previous clubs.

The announcement comes as the club's new home kit for the upcoming campaign goes on sale in the town centre shop and online.

Wells, who joined the Hatters this summer, will don the number 21 shirt. This is a number with which the Bermudian striker has become synonymous throughout his career. The 21 shirt was his number of choice during successful spells at Bradford City, Huddersfield Town, Burnley, his second loan stint at Queens Park Rangers, and most recently at Bristol City.

While number 21 has been his primary choice, Wells has worn a couple of other numbers in his professional career. He wore the number 29 at his first professional club, Carlisle United, and the number 32 during his initial loan spell at Queens Park Rangers.

The release of the squad numbers, alongside the new kit, provides further excitement for Luton Town fans ahead of the new season, with Wells's number 21 shirt expected to be a popular choice.
