The Bermuda Women’s National Football Team, on their way to the Orkney 2025 Island Games this month, the Bermuda Women’s team are holding a productive training camp in Scotland, culminating in a competitive friendly match.
Under the guidance of Coach Naquita Robinson, the squad faced a challenging early test, taking on Inverurie Locomotive Works Football Club at the Hay Park in the Garioch Sports Center. The match proved to be a good gauge of the team's readiness, ending in a spirited 3-3 draw. Finding the back of the net for Bermuda were Jaden Masters, Symira Lowe-Darrell, and Khyla Brangman, each contributing crucial goals.
This warm-up fixture provides valuable match practice and team cohesion ahead of their Island Games campaign. The Bermuda Women's team will be looking to defend their title from the previous Games.
Once they arrive in Orkney, the team faces a challenging group stage schedule:
They will open their campaign against Jersey on July 13th. They then face Isle of Wight the following day, July 14th. Their final group stage match will be against Shetland on July 15th.
The Semi-Finals for both the men’s and women’s football competitions are scheduled for July 17th, with the medal matches to be contested on July 18th. Bermuda will be hoping this Scottish tune-up has them in prime condition for a strong showing in Orkney.
