Boxing fans can now mark their calendars, as Epic Entertainment has announced July 12th at The Shed as the new date for their "Fight Night Champion" event. The highly anticipated night of combat sports was unfortunately cut short last Saturday due to heavy rain, which made the open-air ring unsafe for the main bouts.
Teiko Furbert of Epic Entertainment shared a message for ticket holders affected by the washout. "Those who had purchased tickets for the fight on Saturday Night, they will be honoured, and you will receive an email with your new ticket," Furbert confirmed. "Also for anyone who purchased a ticket from a ticket outlet are asked to email epicbda@gmail.com for details."
The decision to move to The Shed, an indoor venue at Dockyard, ensures that the event will proceed regardless of weather conditions, a crucial factor given last weekend's disruption.
The main two fights that were called off due to the rain are now officially back on and confirmed for the new date. Bermudian sensation Dash Simmons will take on Jamaica’s Ian Darby in what promises to be a thrilling contest. Additionally, Bermudian Adrian Roach is set to make his professional boxing debut against Canada’s Brent Coxworthy.
The rescheduling means fight fans will finally get to witness these eagerly awaited matchups in a guaranteed rain-free environment.
