 Dale Drake IslandStats.com Four runners proudly represented Bermuda in today's TCS London Marathon, all tackling the gruelling half-marathon distance through the iconic city streets.
Sydney Bodenstab was the first of the quartet to cross the finish line, clocking a time of 4 hours, 14 minutes, and 4 seconds. She finished 21,909th overall, placing as the 6,685th female runner and 3,754th in the competitive 18-39 age group.
Meg Park completed the half-marathon in 4 hours, 30 minutes, and 22 seconds, finishing 27,094th overall. He was the 8,729th male runner to finish and placed 4,891st in the 18-39 age category.
Seon Tatem crossed the line in 4 hours, 41 minutes, and 45 seconds, finishing 30,625th overall. He was the 20,314th male finisher and 10,198th in the 18-39 age group.
Dale Drake completed his London half-marathon journey in 6 hours, 34 minutes, and 17 seconds, finishing 52,999th overall. He was the 30,545th male runner to finish and placed 14,685th in the 18-39 age group.
While Bermuda's runners were tackling the famous London course, back on home soil, Warwick Academy hosted its own successful 5K and 3K runs, with several local athletes crowned champions in their respective divisions.
In the Adult 5K event, Neal Towlson claimed victory with a time of 19 minutes and 17 seconds. Jake Smith took the top spot in the Sixth Form 5K with an impressive time of 17 minutes and 11 seconds. Jasper Lau was the winner in the KS4 5K category, clocking 19 minutes and 19 seconds. Riana Robinson triumphed in the KS3 5K with a time of 21 minutes and 28 seconds, while Sebastian Owen was the KS2 5K champion in 20 minutes and 35 seconds. In the Adult 3K event, Kian Wookey crossed the finish line first in 13 minutes and 51 seconds. The local races at Warwick Academy provided an opportunity for runners of all ages and abilities to participate in competitive events on home turf.
