Day two of the 84th Annual Agricultural Exhibition at the Botanical Gardens continued to showcase the strong bond between horse and rider, with another full schedule of equestrian events captivating the crowds in the Main Ring.
Glen Smith and J.S. Magic demonstrated their skill in the Driving Horse in Hand Class, claiming the Joe Vieria Trucking Limited Plaque. In the junior ranks, Annie Duffin riding Wintermint secured The Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Parks Cup in the Riding Pony in Hand class.
The Pleasure Driving Horse, Single Class saw Melody Greenslade and Random Renegade emerge victorious, taking home both the Atom Water Service Cup and The Malabar Trophy.
Jonelle Smith and J.S. Magic once again proved a formidable partnership, winning The William Ray Trophy in the Ladies Open Carriage Class, Single (Adults Only).
The day concluded with the crowning of the Champion and Reserve Champion for The Best Riding Pony in Show for Juniors. Memory Lane Papparazzi took the top honors as Champion, with Puff The Magic Dragon named the Reserve Champion, highlighting the quality of young riders and their ponies on display. The equestrian events continue to be a major draw at the Agricultural Exhibition, promising further exciting competition on the final day.
