Dage Minors played a pivotal role in Bristol West Athletics Club's triumph at the ERRA National Men's Road Relays 2025, held at Sutton Park, Birmingham.
The race, a demanding test of endurance and teamwork, features a 12-man team, with each runner completing a 5.08km leg.
Minors ran the crucial third leg for Bristol West Athletics Club. He delivered a strong performance, crossing the line in an impressive time of 15 minutes and 22 seconds. This time propelled his team into the lead, giving them a slender 3-second advantage.
Ultimately, Bristol West Athletics Club maintained their lead and secured the Gold Medal, completing the course in a total time of 3 hours, 2 minutes, and 35 seconds. Highgate Harriers finished a close second, clocking 3:02:57, and Cambridge & Coleridge claimed third place.
Minors expressed his pride and the significance of the victory, stating: "45 years later - Bristol back on top. Some day, 3 hours of racing came down to the last leg, on a personal level a big leg for me, I kept us in the lead and did my job … 2025 Road Relay Champions."
