The Flora Duffy South Field Stadium at the National Sports Center was the venue for the MAAC Dash at Dark, an event that saw young athletes showcase their talent and determination in a series of exciting races.
The 10-11 Boys race was won by David Todd, who clocked an impressive time of 6 minutes and 9.80 seconds. Joshua Cann finished closely behind in second place, crossing the line in 6 minutes and 14.53 seconds.
In the 10-11 Girls race, Nora Cenzer emerged victorious, stopping the clock at 6 minutes and 55.69 seconds. Sasha Maringi finished second with a time of 7 minutes and 1.97 seconds, while Caroline Mahoney secured third place in 8 minutes and 50.45 seconds.
The 8-9 Boys race saw Ethan Anderson claim the top spot, clocking a time of 4 minutes and 28.70 seconds. Issac Metschnabel finished second in 4 minutes and 45.17 seconds, and Nicholas Gakundi finished third in 4 minutes and 50.44 seconds.
In the 8-9 Girls Age Group race, Nola Thatcher crossed the finish line first with a time of 5 minutes and 2.36 seconds. Diamond Morris finished second in 5 minutes and 4.17 seconds, and Amaya Whitter secured third place in 5 minutes and 21.84 seconds.
The MAAC Dash at Dark provided an opportunity for young runners to compete and demonstrate their athletic abilities. The event showcased the talent and enthusiasm of Bermuda's young athletes, with close finishes and impressive performances across the different age groups.
