Appleby dominated the opening match, securing a convincing 7-2 victory over Hamilton Princess. After a scoreless first period, Appleby exploded into action in the second, establishing a commanding 5-0 lead. Chris Merritt led the charge with a hat-trick, while Nathan Ische added two goals.
Appleby continued their scoring spree in the third period, with goals from Jordan Gunter and Ische, who completed his hat-trick. Hamilton Princess, despite being down, refused to go down without a fight. Richard Campbell and Riley Latour each found the back of the net, but Appleby's lead proved insurmountable.
