Swizzles 5 Dark & Stormies 2
The Bermuda Field Hockey season resumed at the National Sports Center after a break for International Football, and the Swizzles marked their return with a dominant 5-2 victory over the Dark & Stormies.
The Swizzles wasted no time in asserting their control, racing to a 5-0 lead within the first 38 minutes. Rupert Cuddon-Large opened the scoring in the 5th minute, and Jack Higson quickly doubled the advantage two minutes later. Jack Finlay extended the lead to 3-0 in the 27th minute, before Cuddon-Large added his second goal in the 36th minute. Jen Chisnall capped off a dominant first half for the Swizzles with their fifth goal in the 38th minute.
The Dark & Stormies fought back in the second half, with Gareth Tavares pulling a goal back in the 57th minute. Alex Godet added a second goal for the Dark & Stormies two minutes later, but it was too little, too late to mount a serious comeback.
