Jake Brislane braved the challenging conditions at Parliament Hill in north London to help his Tonbridge AC team secure the Junior UK National Championships title at the SportsShoes National Cross Country Championships 2025.
Brislane, competing in the Junior event over a gruelling 6.2-mile course, delivered an impressive performance, finishing 11th with a time of 35:49. His strong individual result contributed significantly to Tonbridge AC's overall victory in the team competition.
The historic event, known for its demanding course and typically muddy conditions, attracted thousands of runners, including another Bermudian athlete. As previously reported, Dage Minors also competed in the Adult Division.
Brislane told www.islandstats.com, “It was a very tough course - constant hills and very tricky mud underfoot in places. But I paced it well, and worked my way up the field.”
