A thrilling double-header in the Bermuda Winter League Ball Hockey season unfolded at the PCC Hockey Rink, with BDA Spirits and ACT emerging victorious in two action-packed matches that produced a combined 18 goals.
Positive Image Dental 2 BDA Spirits 5
In the opening game, BDA Spirits overcame Positive Image Dental with a 5-2 victory. Robbie Bailey was the star for BDA Spirits, finding the net four times, while Stefan Chamberland added a single goal. Shane Matchett scored both goals for Positive Image Dental in the loss.
ACT 7 Hamilton Princess 4
The second match of the night provided even more excitement, with ACT defeating Hamilton Princess 7-4 in a high-scoring affair.
ACT stormed to a 4-0 lead in the first period, thanks to two goals from Bill McClure and single strikes from Jake Fenske and John King.
Hamilton Princess fought back in the second period, with Noah Vieira scoring their first goal. However, ACT responded with two more goals of their own, courtesy of Mike Travis and McClure, who completed his hat-trick, to take a commanding 6-1 lead into the break.
The third period saw a flurry of goals, with Hamilton Princess finding the net three times through Mathew Benson (2 goals) and Robert Rego. Travis added his second goal for ACT to complete the 7-4 scoreline.
The double-header showcased the exciting and fast-paced nature of ball hockey, providing fans with an entertaining evening of sport.
