Bermuda's Snooker scene is buzzing with activity, from the Tony DeSilva Memorial Cup to league play, with plenty of close matches and dramatic finishes.

DeSilva Memorial Cup First Round Delivers Thrills

The Tony DeSilva Memorial Cup got underway with a series of closely contested first-round matches. Richard Burton edged out Kyle Williams 2-1 in a hard-fought battle, while Stephen Tucker overcame Jimmy McGill by the same scoreline. Tucker now faces Matt Garrod in Round 2.

John Orr narrowly defeated Tony Dawson 2-1, setting up a second-round clash with the winner of Stewart Greenslade vs Winslow Smith. Matt Garrod staged a comeback to beat Gary Bascome 2-1 and will now face Stephen Tucker. Martin Siese also came from behind to win 2-1 against Paul Fedden, earning a match against Todd Dziak in the next round.

Zane DeSilva completed another comeback, beating Pamela Quadroy 2-1 and setting up a meeting with Chris Dakin. Aaron Burrows defeated Mark Iris 2-0 and will face Nadanja Bailey, while Henryk Marszalek cruised to a 2-0 victory over Alan Smith and will play Keino Zuill in Round 2.

Keen Cup Round 1: Sandys Boat Club Advances

Sandys Boat Club (SBC) progressed to the semi-finals of the Keen Cup with a narrow 3-2 victory over Warwick Workman's Club. Despite early losses to Stephen Tucker and Zane DeSilva, Sandys rallied with Richie Beale and Peter Bromby levelling the score. Paul Fedden sealed the win for SBC in the tie-breaker against Henryk Marszalek. SBC will now face Spanish Point Boat Club One in the semi-final, with the winner set to meet the RAA in the final.

Mike Zimmerman Team Challenge: RAA Through to Final

The RAA booked their place in their second tournament final of the season with a hard-fought 3-2 win over Warwick Workman's Club One in the Mike Zimmerman Team Challenge semi-final. Despite Warwick taking an early 2-0 lead through Gary Bascome and Winslow Smith, the RAA fought back. Kyle Williams got them on the board, and the doubles pairing of Aaron Bean and Williams levelled the tie. It was Keino Zuill who clinched the crucial point for RAA, securing their spot in the final against Sandys Boat Club.

Henryk Marszalek gave Spanish Point an early lead, but Warwick responded through Steven Bremar and Zane DeSilva. Despite Alan Smith levelling the score for Spanish Point, the doubles pairing of Bremar and Marszalek sealed the win for Warwick.
