ACT 4 BDA Spirits 3
A seven-goal thriller at the PCC Hockey Rink provided a fitting spectacle in the lone Bermuda Ball Hockey match of the week, with ACT narrowly edging out BDA Spirits 4-3.
The first period was a cagey affair, with only one goal scored. John King put ACT in the lead, giving them a slender advantage heading into the intermission.
The second period proved to be a stalemate, with neither team able to find the back of the net. However, the third period exploded into life, producing a flurry of goals.
BDA Spirits levelled the score early in the third when Brad Blassetti found the target. But ACT quickly responded, regaining the lead through Mike Travis. ACT then extended their advantage to 3-1 when Bill McClure scored.
Travis added his second goal of the period, seemingly putting ACT in a commanding 4-1 lead. However, BDA Spirits refused to give up. Chris Lemieux pulled a goal back, and Stefan Chamberland further reduced the deficit to just one goal. Despite their late surge, BDA Spirits ran out of time in their search for an equalizer, leaving ACT to celebrate a hard-fought victory.
