Under bright sunshine but with a lingering chill in the air, the BF&M Bermuda 5K & 10K Run saw impressive performances and thrilling finishes, with Andrew Wacker and Christine Gould claiming victory in the 10K, while Brendan Carter and Gina McNamara dominated the 5K.
Wacker led the 10K race from start to finish, showcasing his strength and endurance to cross the line in a winning time of 30:07. Dage Minors secured second place with a time of 31:07, while Danny Cosgrove rounded out the podium in third place, clocking 31:30.
In the women's 10K, Gould delivered a dominant performance, finishing 11th overall with a time of 34:21. Ellie Stevens claimed second place among the women and 15th overall in 35:04, while Anna Vess secured third place in the women's race and 22nd overall with a time of 36:06.
The 5K race saw Carter emerge victorious with a swift time of 16:15. Sanchez Smith followed in second place with a time of 17:26, while S. Haldeman finished third among the men and sixth overall in 19:45.
McNamara showcased her speed and endurance to win the women's 5K, finishing third overall with a time of 18:17. Molly Applegate secured second place in the women's race and fourth overall in 18:21, while Kelly Babcock completed the women's podium in third place and fifth overall with a time of 18:43.
The BF&M Bermuda 5K & 10K Run provided a fantastic opportunity for runners of all abilities to test themselves on a scenic course.
