Bermuda is set to become a hub of youth football excitement as the Bermuda Football Association (BFA) confirmed that the island will host the Group Stage of the 2025 CONCACAF Under-17 Qualifiers for Group A.
The matches, taking place at the Bermuda National Sports Center from February 7th to 16th, will see Bermuda's young footballers face off against Canada, Curacao, Anguilla, and Turks and Caicos Islands in a round-robin format. With a coveted spot in the 2025 FIFA U-17 World Cup at stake, the competition promises to be fierce.
This qualifying tournament features a streamlined single-round format, with eight groups vying for a place in the prestigious global event. The eight group winners will secure their tickets to the World Cup, making every match crucial.
Meanwhile, Bermuda's Under-20 Women's National Team is gearing up for their own challenge in the 2025 Concacaf U-20 Women's Qualifiers.
Drawn into Group E, the Women will travel to the Ato Boldon Stadium in Port of Spain, Trinidad, to face Trinidad and Tobago, Canada, and Dominica. The BFA is urging fans to show their support for the team as they strive for success on the international stage.
These tournaments provide a fantastic opportunity for Bermuda's young footballers to showcase their talent and gain valuable experience against strong opposition. With both the U-17 men and U-20 women in action, it's an exciting time for football development on the island.
